Moral Quandary
About the Musical
Moral Quandary is loosely based on the Trolly Problem. The idea is to give people a fun experience that will make them think. We want to explore more about how people think, at least that is what our main "villain is trying to do". We have currently got our storyline, song ideas and characters all planned out so now we are writing the script and songs. We are planning to have our first showing at the beginning of 2024.
Our main character is Liam, he is a shy 16-year-old with and single mum and had just died in a trolly accident. This leads him to a state of limbo, a place between life and death, where he meets Peeta, a supernatural entity that guides people to death's door. Peeta overhears Liam singing to his mum and becomes integer by Liam's Moral ideology, this gives Peeta an idea. Peeta gives Liam a proposition that if Liam can see the other victims in the accident's life and give a valid reason why his life is more valuable than theirs then he can go back to life. Liam accepts as he wants to see his mum and his best friend again. This leads Peeta into showing Liam the life of 3 of the victims of the crash, with Liam finally coming to the conclusion that he can't choose. So Peeta walks him to the door of death.
